Richard began serving at Westminster in the summer of 2023. Before that, he was in ministry up and down the east coast, working as an associate pastor, hospital chaplain, pastoral counselor, and adjunct faculty for seminaries and divinity schools. He has degrees from the University of North Carolina, Princeton Theological Seminary, and Vanderbilt University. His favorite part of ministry is enjoying the relationships and community that God gathers to Westminster week after week. He is thankful to be in a church that honors the community within and outside its doors, while proclaiming a message of welcome, justice, inclusion and grace to all. Richard and his spouse Lindsey have two children, Joseph and Auden, and a dog named Rae.
