Richard comes to Westminster from Asheville, NC where he has lived for the past six years.  Richard has a long background in teaching, hospital chaplaincy, pastoral counseling, and youth ministry.  He holds a PhD in religion from Vanderbilt University with a concentration in pastoral care and counseling, and a MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary.  He has also written a book and published several articles in the areas of religion, psychology, and pastoral care.  Richard deeply values collaboration in worship, working closely with staff and congregational leaders to craft a unified tone and message for worship.
